ALBUM REVIEW

Tire Swing Co.

Time Away
Time Away

Tire Swing Co. are from Windsor, Ontario Canada. The band exists of Steven Oltean-Lepp (part of James OL and the Villains) and Johnny West. Special vocals on the track (closet) by Jim Meloche.

  • The album was recorded by famous last records.
  • It was released in January of 2015
  • It is a Folk/Rock/Roots album

This EP has such a realness to it – it speaks to many. You can hear the torment and emotional ache within these lyrics and tracks.

  • The tone for the entire album is kicked off with the very first track titled Happy Valentines Day, which sounds like a haunted person baring their deepest emotions in this soft sung track.

The entire album has a natural truth to it. Each track speaks deep to the soul with a melo-relaxing vibe. This folk/roots inspired album has a depth to it unlike something you have heard before. I have had the album on repeat for the past week in my office, I find it very soothing.

Their previous album, Inamorata which was released in 2014 has a similar vibe. Time Away shows what they can truly do with such passionate and affecting vocals on each track.
